In January-February, the bilateral import and export volume of goods between Japan and China was US$47.50 billion, down 5.2%. Among these, Japan’s exports to China were US$19.11 billion, down 6.6%, accounting for 17.5% of Japan’s total exports, down 0.3 percentage points; Japan’s imports from China were US$28.39 billion, down 4.3%, accounting for 23.9% of Japan’s total imports, down 0.1 percentage points. The trade deficit between Japan and China was US$9.27 billion, up 0.8%.
By February, China is Japan's second largest export trade partner and the largest import trade partner.
