The Free Trade Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") will come into effect on January 1, 2022.
The Agreement was signed on October 12, 2020. According to the arrangements of the Agreement, over 90% of tariff lines in trade in goods for both sides will enjoy zero-tariff, and the service market commitment also represents the highest level among the two sides’ agreements with their free trade partners respectively. At the same time, both sides also agreed to strengthen investment cooperation, and carry out in-depth cooperation on BRI, e-commerce, economic technologies, etc.
China-Cambodia FTA is a new milestone in the development of bilateral economic relations and trade, which will improve the well-being of companies and people of both countries.
